You have several ways of loading the Angler Products Fishing Hotspots to your Garmin Chartplotter:Note: All products and accessories seen on this page are available for sale from Angler Products. Please contact us if you need assistance. Direct connect your Garmin to your computer. Most of the Garmin unit have AC?PC computer connection cables available for them. In this method you connect your unit to your computer, power it up, have the software find your unit and then transfer the hotspots to your unit. Software choices are: Garmin's BlueChart Mapsource, Garmin's Trip & Waypoint Management, and EasyGPS (a free download found at www.EasyGPS.com). Here's how each work: EasyGPS: Download and install and open the software. Connect your Garmin to your computer with the appropriate connection and turn your unit on. In EasyGPS go to Edit, Preferences and select your Garmin model from the list. Now do a File, Open and find the Angler Products file you want to load to your GPS. Once the file is open click on the Send icon on your tool bar. That's it. The hotspots are now in your Garmin's internal memory to use the next time you're out on the water. Garmin's Mapsource or Trip and Waypoint Manager: Install and open the software. Connect your Garmin to your computer with the appropriate connector cable and turn it on. Open the Angler Products hotspot file you wish to transfer. Now click on the "Send To" (GPS icon with a down pointing arrow). The software will find your Garmin and ask you what you want to transfer. Choose Waypoints and hit OK. That's it. The hotspots are loaded. Using the Garmin USB Card reader and a blank Garmin Card: In this method you need to have a Garmin USB Card reader and a blank Garmin card. Get the smallest Garmin card you can because these files are not large. Install the USB card reader on our computer. Open up one of the Garmin software products from above. Now open the Angler Products file you want to load and send it to the card using the "Send To" icon (GPS icon with a down pointing arrow). The software will find the USB card reader and ask you to select the data you want to send. Choose Waypoints and select OK. Now once the files have been sent to your blank Garmin card you will need to load them into your Garmin. Power your GPS up and insert the card. Go to the main menu and move to the Card option tab. Move over and uncheck all but the User Waypoints tab and them select Merge and hit enter. If you select Replace, the file will replace all of the waypoints on your unit. This is helpful when the unit is new to replace the Garmin points that came preloaded. Unless you have to know where their Taiwan or Kansas factories are you don't really need these on your unit.
