GPS Chartplotters are Very Powerful Units. They give us the ability to navigate new and old waters like seasoned mariners with a little simple training. They also have the capability to store large numbers of waypoints, tracks and routes in their internal memory. But did you know that internal memory is kept alive by a small battery, much like your home computers internal memory? Its a fact. And most manufacturers give the battery a life expectancy of 3 - 5 years. After that you run a risk that all the information you've saved in your GPS's internal memory will be history.

GPS Data Transfer and Archival: We will move waypoints, routes and tracks from your old GPS to your new one and send you the file for future use. Also included is a software update on your unit, if available.

Cost: $50.00 for most units plus shipping and handling if applicable.

Here's what will be done.

GPS data (waypoints, tracks and routes) will be taken from the GPS unit and saved in a file.
Your GPS's internal software will be upgraded to the latest available if applicable.
Your file will be sent to you with installation instructions for future use.

Additional Services:

GPS Data File Loaded to a Memory Card: If you want the file placed on a card that your GPS can read the cost will be an additional $20.00 to $50.00 depending on the card type needed.
Convert Your Data to a New GPS Format: $20.00 for most units. Contact us to confirm compatibility before shipping unit.
Setup Your Unit for Ease of Use: Included in the cost of the basic service. Please let me know you want this when you send the unit.
